Once again I took a break, this time was because of just a lack of time and energy to sit at my PC. I've gotten a job, figured out what I'm doing about my educational future, I'm attempting to get my financial situation in check, as well as having started over with Kim (in a sense, nothing bad actually happened). All in all, I'm pretty happy. Happier than I've been in a while.

In other-news-that-probably-only-interests-me-but-I-hope-you'll-check-out-anyway, Nine Inch Nails recently released a four-disc set called Ghosts I-IV which is absolutely amazing instrumental and moody music. Most of it is the type of stuff that you can just have on while doing homework and feel at peace with. Even people who don't generally like them should find something they like on it. And, like I said, there's no words, so it should catch a lot of people's ears. He calls it, "a soundtrack to daydreams," and all in all, that's truly the best way to put it.

If you'd like to listen to the full Ghosts I-IV before you download/buy it, check out the Ghosts Player here

Also, a new song had recently been released just hours after it was mixed and finalized called "Discipline," which you can also download for free from discipline.nin.com. I personally like the independent, record-label-hating Trent Reznor more than ever before. There's always something new (and so far, all good) being put out lately. Plus, it's usually free or at least very reasonably priced (like a $5 download for the 36-track Ghosts I-IV...that's great). More bands should put this strategy to good use, they'd probably make more this way putting out an album online independently (Reznor said they made $750,000 after the first week or two) than they would through a label (since most of their money comes from touring anyway) and as long as they don't charge out the ass for it, I think a lot of people would be willing to pay a small amount (as opposed to the handful that would pay if it were relatively expensive, to which I think $5 is just a perfect amount for any quality album). Anyway, it's a good change of pace compared to his old habit of releasing anything five years apart from each other.

That's all. I now return you to your regularly scheduled broadcast.
